The world is your oyster after you successfully complete your study at Inbound Aviation then finish a 12-month guaranteed cadetship at Sharp or Pelican airlines. Airlines see the professionalism and education you’ve gained which sets you up and puts you in an enviable position to be picked up by an airline in Australia or anywhere in the world. To become a First Officer in only 13-months is incredibly rare, and all of our successful graduates now work for airlines.

No, it’s not paid for by an airline, it’s self-funded by the cadets themselves and paid in instalments over 12 months. We’ve teamed up with a finance company called Handypay who offer substantial loans you pay back over time. To understand the financial investment involved, listen in on one of the Inbound Aviation information nights so you can plan ahead financially and then apply later.

Additional Information
- 20 hours of this will be completed in our fully CASA certified synthetic trainer, and
- 20 hours will be completed in your choice of aircraft.
Duration
Depending on your experience, availability, and means, it can take as little as two weeks to become a fully qualified Multi Engine IFR pilot.
Like most fundamental training programs, we recommend you keep the lessons as close together as you can as this makes it easier to carry the new skills you learn onto the next lesson.

Once you have your Commercial Pilot Licence, our instructors will share their real-world experience in major airlines and guide you through this challenging and rewarding addition to your skillset.
This Diploma of Aviation, Instrument Rating:
- gives you the next level of skills needed to fly for an airline as a First Officer
- allows you to navigate an aircraft under the IFR by sole reference to the instruments in non-visual conditions
- takes your understanding of the weather to a whole new level, and
- will challenge you while also combining learning and fun.
You’ll learn:
- how to navigate safely through the sky and across the country or world, using ground-based and satellite-based navigation techniques
- how to safely conduct both 2D and 3D approaches for safe arrival at your destination, and
- how to feel comfortable and confident in taking your new skills to the sky.

Professional Pilot Double Diploma of Aviation
This double diploma allows you to:
- immerse yourself in the world of aviation
- completely focus on your theory and practical flying without distraction, and
- learn what you need to know to start working as a commercial pilot sooner rather than later.

Want to be the pilot in command?
This Advanced Diploma of Aviation, Pilot in in Command:
- gives you a “frozen” Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
- teaches you how to operate in a multi-crew environment
- gives you with skills needed to fly in an Airline operation, and
- ensures you have the training and competencies required to be the pilot in command of a multi-crew aircraft.
You’ll learn theory and techniques for:
- general handling
- multi-crew operations, and
- abnormal and normal operations.
