Our Diploma program is delivered full time over 39 weeks (average) and has 29 units of competency. The tuition fee for the Diploma program is $120,000.00 AUD. This includes:
- teaching you all the building blocks of flying
- aviation theory and practical flying
- a Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) upon successful completion
After you’ve completed your Diploma course, Inbound Aviation has an industry recognised follow up program to take you to the next level. Our Professional Pilots Program (PPP) is a 6 month intensive course managed as a separate enrolment after the Diploma program is completed. During this program you will gain your:
- Multi Engine Instrument Rating
- ATPL Theory
- Multi-Crew Coordination Certificate
From here you may be selected to continue into either a Sharp Airlines cadetship or FlyPelican cadetship.
Our cadetship training path has a separate fee from the Diploma and is not eligible for a VET Student Loan. For more information on the PPP go to cadetships.

Inbound Aviation is approved by the Commonwealth Government as a VET Student Loans provider.
Please note that a VSL will not be approved for students who do not meet eligibility requirements and a VSL gives rise to a VETSL debt which continues to be a debt due to the Commonwealth until it is repaid.
Eligible applicants can access a VSL up to $175,000.00 for payment of tuition fees in approved Aviation Courses. For our Diploma program, A VSL of up to $94,200 is required and a gap payment of $25,800 is payable (not covered by VSL). For more information on VSL, Go to VET Student Loans.
Course Details
This qualification:
- reflects the roles of flight crew personnel performing normal and emergency commercial pilot duties in support of commercial or Defence aviation flight operations.
- covers flight crew duties, including applying technical and non-technical aviation skills and knowledge to a wide range of air transport operations, including passenger, charter and cargo operations
- enables individuals working at this level to apply knowledge and skills that demonstrate autonomy, judgement and defined responsibility in known or changing contexts and within broad but established parameters.
- forms some of the requirements for certification as a commercial pilot by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) as directed by Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) Part 61 Flight crew licensing.
Successful completion of this diploma may lead to working as:
- Commercial aeroplane pilot
- Military aeroplane pilot
